Building Confidence, Skills, and Connection: Calgary Team Hosts CPR Training

Back-to-school season isn’t just about preparing our pediatric clients and their families- it’s also about ensuring our employees feel ready, confident, and supported. Our Calgary team has been busy rolling out an exciting new education program, complete with simulation labs and fresh learning materials designed to enhance pediatric care. But one of the most impactful parts of this initiative has been the CPR training session offered to employees whose certifications had expired or were coming up for renewal.

Why does this matter? In home care, emergencies can happen when we least expect them. Knowing how to react quickly and provide life-saving support can make all the difference. These sessions give our employees the chance to practice critical skills hands-on, ensuring they feel competent and prepared to handle any situation.
Beyond the training itself, the learning day becomes an opportunity to bring the team together. Employees connected with one another met the office support staff available to them, and shared experiences that strengthened our sense of community. For many, it was a day of both professional growth and personal connection.

The feedback from participants speaks for itself- “Thank you for helping us to be better in our daily practice as nurses. It was an excellent review of skills. 10/10.” – Luz Sandoval
With most attendees rating the session a 10/10, it’s clear this training hit the mark. And for those who couldn’t join us in person, we’ve made sure no one misses out by offering online CPR re-certification.
Our Calgary team is already looking forward to hosting another session mid-year. By keeping our skills sharp and certifications current, we’re ensuring that both our employees and clients remain safe and supported- because care begins with confidence at Classic LifeCare.
