Nursing Support
We’re there when you need us
The Importance of Nursing Support
At Classic LifeCare, our nursing home care team is committed to delivering top-quality and safe care to our clients. Our Clinical Nursing Supervisors, based in our offices, play a crucial role in guiding and overseeing our skilled Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) in the field. They conduct home visits and initial assessments, create personalized care plans, and ensure safety standards are met.
These LPNs provide personalized nursing home care that meets our client’s unique needs. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for those we have the privilege to serve.
Have Questions?
Wound Care – Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are trained to assess, clean, and dress various types of wounds, ranging from simple abrasions to more complex surgical incisions. They can also administer medications related to wound management and monitor the healing progress.
Nursing Foot Care – LPNs have the expertise to assess and provide basic foot care, including nail trimming and addressing minor foot issues. They can educate clients on proper foot hygiene and preventive measures.
Catheter Change – LPNs are authorized to perform catheter changes. This involves removing and replacing urinary catheters, ensuring proper hygiene, and minimizing the risk of infection.
Medication Management – LPNs play a crucial role in medication management. They can administer medications, assess patient responses, and monitor for potential side effects. LPNs may also educate clients about their medications and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to adjust treatment plans.
Calgary Pediatrics – We have a large team of LPNs in Calgary who provide pediatric nursing home care. Their duties may include assisting with tube feeding, suctioning, seizure management, respiratory conditions, tracheostomy care, and more.
