Classic LifeCare in the Community: February 2025
At Classic LifeCare, we believe that being part of the community means more than just providing care—it means showing up, lending a hand, and making a difference. February was a busy month for us as we took part in several incredible events across different cities. Here’s a recap of where we’ve been and how we got involved!
Stepping Up for the Coldest Night of the Year

On one of the coldest nights of the year, our team bundled up and hit the streets to support a cause that’s close to our hearts. The Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) is an annual winter walk that raises funds for charities helping those facing hunger, homelessness, and hardship. Since 2011, this initiative has raised over $75 million across 190 Canadian communities—all of which stays local to support vital programs.
Representing Classic LifeCare were Britney (Business Growth & Development) and Madison (Clinical Nursing Supervisor), who walked alongside their families. Britney’s kids, Mazzy & River, and Madison’s mother, Tracy Neuman—who is the Director of Development at Luna Child & Youth Advocacy Centre—joined in to show their support.
In addition to walking for the cause, Classic LifeCare donated essential backpack items to the Luna Centre, helping children and youth in need. We are honored to contribute to such an important organization through our Classic Cares initiatives. If you’d like to learn more about Luna’s incredible work, visit their website.
Winterfest 2025: Embracing the Cold with Warm Hearts

Nothing brings a community together like a winter festival, and Winterfest 2025 in Prince George was no exception! Despite the freezing temperatures, our team had an amazing time engaging with families and local businesses at this lively event.
From snow painting to decorating snowmen, kids had a blast participating in the activities we hosted, including coloring sheets and wooden button decorating. The joy and creativity we witnessed made braving the cold well worth it!
Beyond the fun and games, we also took the opportunity to connect with local businesses at the B2B Expo at the Civic Centre, where we met with organizations like Humble Home Care, Comfort Keepers, and Spirit of the North. We were thrilled to hear Classic LifeCare mentioned multiple times on local radio stations, and of course, we couldn’t resist indulging in some free hot chocolate and s’mores to keep warm!
We’re excited to continue building relationships within the Prince George community and look forward to attending more events throughout the year. Stay tuned for updates on where you’ll find us next!
Standing Up for Kindness on Pink Shirt Day

On Pink Shirt Day, our Classic LifeCare team wore pink to take a stand against bullying and promote kindness and inclusion.
This movement started in 2007 when two high school students in Nova Scotia stood up for a fellow student who was bullied for wearing pink. Since then, it has become a nationwide initiative reminding us that we all have a role to play in fostering a compassionate and supportive environment—whether at work, in our communities, or online.
At Classic LifeCare, we are committed to creating a workplace and community where everyone feels valued and respected. While wearing pink is a symbolic gesture, we believe in taking meaningful action every day to promote inclusivity and kindness.
Looking Ahead
February was a month full of community engagement, and we’re just getting started! As we move forward, Classic LifeCare will continue to seek out opportunities to give back, connect with local organizations, and support meaningful causes.

Together, we can make a difference—one step, one event, and one act of kindness at a time.
