A Journey of Care and Growth: Natalie Vorster’s Story at Classic LifeCare
For Natalie Vorster, care has always been about more than helping with everyday needs. It’s about building relationships, earning trust and making sure people feel genuinely cared for.
Since joining Classic LifeCare in 2019, Natalie has grown from a housekeeping team member into a Client Care Coordinator. Along the way, the relationships she built with clients shaped not only her career, but also her understanding of what compassionate care truly means.
Today, she brings that same thoughtfulness to supporting clients and the health care workers who care for them, carrying forward the personal connections that first made her fall in love with the work.
Finding Purpose in the Little Moments of Care
Originally from South Africa, Natalie immigrated to Canada with her family in search of a brighter future for her children. With a background in beauty and no previous experience in health care, joining Classic LifeCare in 2019 meant stepping into an unfamiliar industry and learning along the way.
Her early days weren’t always easy. Natalie remembers standing in a client’s room one day, feeling unsure of herself. Rather than giving up, she pushed through uncertainty, discovering a strength she didn’t know she had.
Soon after starting her journey in the housekeeping role, Natalie was offered an opportunity to provide care for a client. She accepted and was placed with a wonderful couple who helped her discover how meaningful the work could be.
“I loved every minute of it,” Natalie shares. “Every morning when I showed up, they would brighten up. They’d say, ‘Hey Natalie, we’re so happy to see you!’”
Those simple greetings stayed with her. They showed Natalie that care is about more than completing tasks. It’s about the connections we build, the comfort we bring, and the difference we make in someone’s day.

From Providing Care to Supporting Those Who Give It
As Natalie gained experience, she began thinking about how she could continue growing while giving back to the health care workers around her. This led her to transition from working in the field to an office-based role.
Today, as a Client Care Coordinator, Natalie supports clients and works closely with health care workers to help navigate challenges and ensure clients receive the care they need.
Having experienced the joys and meaningful connections that come with providing care firsthand, Natalie understands the value of feeling heard, supported, and appreciated. She makes a point of checking in with health care workers, listening to their experiences, and offering encouragement to help them feel confident and supported in the important work they do.
Although her role has changed, her purpose remains the same. For Natalie, moving into the office wasn’t about leaving those meaningful relationships behind. It was about finding new ways to nurture them.
The Classic LifeCare Family
For Natalie, one of the most special parts of working at Classic LifeCare has been the sense of family she has found along the way. This became especially meaningful during the COVID-19 pandemic, when she stayed home with her children for almost seven months. Even while she was away, the team continued to check in and reassure her that her place at Classic LifeCare would be there when she was ready to return.
“That just amazed me,” Natalie recalls.
Knowing she had a workplace that cared about her and her family left a lasting impression. It’s a kindness she carries into her own work today, building meaningful relationships with clients and health care workers and making sure they feel valued, supported and cared for.
The Lasting Impact of Compassionate Care
Natalie’s journey from housekeeping to Client Care Coordinator is a reminder that meaningful careers don’t always follow a straight path. Sometimes, they grow from the relationships we build, the people who inspire us, and the opportunities that help us discover new strengths.
For Natalie, the heart of her work has remained the same: making sure people feel supported, valued, and cared for. Whether she’s helping a client navigate their care needs or checking in with a health care worker, she understands that even the smallest moments of kindness can leave a lasting impression.
At Classic LifeCare, we’re grateful to have Natalie on our team. Her story reflects what compassionate care looks like in practice: showing up for people, building meaningful relationships, and making a difference for one person at a time.
